Innovation
We are excited to develop new approaches that build on a solid foundation of years of experience delivering best-practice work.
Accountability
We are accountable to our clients and our communities. Accountability is about taking ownership of what we do and how we do it.
Policies
Ethics
TIRIA is a corporate member of the Aotearoa New Zealand Evaluation Association. The ANZEA standards guide our evaluation work and can be accessed at www.anzea.org.nz/superu-standards
We assess the ethical considerations for each project and how we will ensure protection for participants and our team. We work through the ethics review processes appropriate for each project. This may include working with agency ethics committees or external ethics review.
We have thought deeply about ethical considerations in research and evaluation involving children and young people. Our paper on the topic is published on the Ethical Research with Children website.

Sustainability
We are committed to environmental sustainability and have several practices in place to offset our ecological footprint. Recycling is encouraged in both offices to reduce the amount of office waste produced during operations. Our offices are equipped with virtual office computer networking capabilities such as internal e-mail and electronic file-sharing to reduce the use of new paper products.
In addition to our daily operations, we also adhere to ecologically conscious practices when completing projects and related research activities. When feasible, we hold virtual rather than in-person meetings to reduce environmental impact associated with travel. Project documents and reports are submitted electronically unless otherwise requested by our client.
